Men's Club

As an auxiliary organization of B’nai Shalom of Olney, the Men’s Club helps to maintain and encourage the growth of the synagogue and to further religious, cultural, educational, and social interests of its membership and the Jewish community at large. Members contribute their time and service to the synagogue in a variety of ways. In addition to sponsoring speaker brunches, providing ushers for services, and holding monthly meetings, teams of volunteers turn out to help with whatever is needed around the synagogue.

The group’s softball and basketball teams provide great bonding activities. Men’s Club’s other social activities have included special Shabbat dinners prepared by the members under the direction of a gourmet chef, the World Wide Wrap (promoting the mitzvah of putting on Tefillin), and Sunday morning breakfasts.
