J LAB

Jewish Learning at B'nai Shalom (J-LAB), the Kapiloff Religious School, is our dynamic and experiential religious school program for students in Kindergarten through 10th grade that focuses on love of Judaism, Hebrew, Torah and mitzvot.

In the early grades we work to build a foundation of Jewish life through holiday exploration, Torah stories and early Hebrew language acquisition. As our students advance, we focus on Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation with Hebrew reading, learning tefillot, and delving deeper into learning about the Torah, mitzvot and holidays.

Our post Bar/Bat Mitzvah program includes Tikkun Olney, a study of the intersection of Judaism, civics and service for 8th graders and a 2 year Confirmation class for 9th and 10th graders taught by Rabbi Nagelberg.
