Karen Leventhal to be Honored as B’nai Shalom’s Young Leader
B’nai Shalom of Olney and Seaboard Region of United Synagogue will be honoring our member, Karen Leventhal on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 5pm, during the third annual Young Leadership - Azor hof Hayam Recognition Reception. The reception will take place at Chizuk Amuno Congregation 8100 Stevenson Road, Baltimore, MD 21208. The exciting evening will be a night of friendship and sacred community, as well as good food, wine and entertainment.
The Seaboard Region will highlight Karen's leadership and commitment to our synagogue, synagogue life and to Conservative Judaism. Please join us for this celebration or consider submitting a congratulatory ad in the program. [More information]

- Sunday, April 18 @ 10:45 a.m. – Vav 6 “Bar/Bat Mitzvah Wimpel”/ Tallit and Tefillin Workshop
- Sunday, April 18 @ 9 a.m. – Kitah Zayin joins Men’s Club for a “rescheduled” Worldwide Wrap
- The Religious School is on Spring/Passover Break from Sunday, March 28th – Tuesday, April 6th. Religious School classes will resume on Wednesday, April 7th. Have a safe and happy break…Hag Sameach!
- The Learning Center is still looking for volunteers who can help on Sundays between the hours of 10:30 - 1:30. Any increment of time would be helpful. Volunteers should be proficient in Hebrew reading, prayers and be able to help with bar and bat mitzvah prayers. This is strictly on a volunteer basis. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Judy Allal, the BSO Sunday Learning Center Specialist, via e-mail at josephine81957@yahoo.com.
