• Sunday, November 22 - Mitzvah U: A Day of Mitzvot—Pay it Forward- Just a reminder that the deadline for registration for Mitzvah U: A Day of Mitzvot--Pay it Forward is this Sunday, November 15th. All Gan K - Zayin 7 students must attend. Preschool - Bet 2 students must be accompanied by an adult. Gimel 3 - Zayin 7 students must attend with at least one parent but may take a different class. All of the information is available at www.bnaishalomofolney.org. There you will find the Course Catalog and Registration Form. Payment for workshops and afternoon adult activities must be made through Google Check Out--checks will not be accepted. Please be patient when trying to bring up the course catalog because it is a big document. If you need to see a hard copy, we have a couple available in the Religious School Office to look at. JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL

• Sunday, November 22 @ 7:00 p.m. - ARRANGED centers on the friendship between an Orthodox Jewish woman and a Muslim woman who meet as first-year teachers at a public school in Brooklyn. Over the course of the year they learn they share much in common - not least of which is that they are both going through the process of arranged marriages. Watch the Trailer

• Wednesday, December 16 @ 1:15 p.m. -Monthly program, we are asking all members to bring an interesting or unique Menorah, Dreidel or any Chanukah Judaica to show and to share its special story Transportation can be arranged for those who need it.  Contact Linda Reba if you have any questions at lereba@comcast.net
• Friday, December 18 @ 6:00 p.m. - Please join us for Shabbat Dinner - during which we will celebrate Chanukah with festive songs and latkes. This will be a good time to get to know new friends and catch up with friends we haven’t seen for awhile.

SISTERHOOD

• Sunday, November 15 @ 11 a.m. - The Sisterhood will be holding their Annual Paid-Up Membership Luncheon on Sunday, November 15th at 11am in The Social Hall.  There will be entertainment from Rak Shalom, an acapella singing group out of the Univ. of MD, lunch and a clothing drive/fashion show that will benefit a local women's shelter. The cost is FREE for Paid-Up Members of Sisterhood and New Members of BSO and the cost of dues for existing members.  This looks to be a very fun event - please don't miss it! • Ongoing - Second Thursday of the month between 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Leslie Kessler, a licensed professional social worker who works at JSSA's Department of Aging, will be on site at B'nai Shalom once a month. She will be coming the second Thursday of the month. You are welcome to drop in or call the synagogue office to make an appointment. Please bring issues that you want to discuss, or just come in and say hi so she can get to know you. Her next visit will be November 12th.
