Labor on the Bimah
- Saturday, September 5 @ 9:00 a.m. - Labor on the Bimah - Every day there are workers in our communities who are mistreated, unfairly deprived of hard-earned wages, and denied access to basic amenities. Labor Day is an opportunity to pause and consider our role in stopping or perpetuating the unfair treatment of workers. This is why each year Jews United for Justice (JUFJ) organizes Labor on the Bimah, which leads dozens of congregations in DC, VA, and MD to reflect on workers' rights during Labor Day weekend. B’nai Shalom will be observing Labor on the Bimah on Saturday, September 5th, bringing in JUFJ board member Mike Rubin and a day laborer to speak during Shabbat morning services about the Jewish connection to worker’s rights. Please join us!
