Congregational Discussion on “The King of the Jews”

• Saturday, April 11 @ 9:00 a.m. - The play “King of the Jews”, adapted from Leslie Epstein’s fictionalized book of the same name, explores the unimaginable and impossible dilemma faced by members of the Judenrat, the Jewish council, in the Lodz Ghetto, when the Nazis insisted they provide lists of Jews for deportation.  This play, which has been showing at the Olney Theatre for the last few weeks, has generated some controversy in both its content and presentation.  Please join us for morning services on Shabbat Hol Ha-Mo’ed Pesah for a discussion of the play and, more importantly, the difficult and very real issues it raises.

• 9:00 a.m. - Shabbat Services - "The Art within Shabbat and Torah"
• 12:15 p.m. - Kiddush Luncheon - sponsored by Harry and Sylvia Cohen
• 8:45 p.m. - Wine and Cheese Reception with the Artist - sponsored by the Men's Club and Sisterhood of BSO. Reservations are appreciated.

Yom Ha'shoah V'Hagvurah
