Kiddush Konversation

The Kiddush Konversation presents opportunities for congregants to submit questions on topics that would be reflected and discussed by the Rabbi, Cantor and other congregants once a month after Shabbat Services.  We welcome your ideas for topic selections which can be forwarded to Earl Kudlick via his email address emkudlick@hotmail.com.

Hazak

• Saturday, January 10 @ 9:00 a.m. - B'nai Shalom of Olney's 55 and older group invites you to the annual National Hazak Shabbat Morning. Conservative congregations across the USA and Canada will observe Hazak shabbat honoring senior members. In you would like to participate in the service please call Rincy Pollack @ 301.622.4515.

Men's Club

• Sunday, January 18 @ 6:00 p.m. - Men's Club Blue Yarmulke Man-of-the-Year Dinner. This year's honoree is Paul Friedman. The dinner will take place at Beth El Congregation in Baltimore. Sisterhood

• Saturday, January 24 @ 9:00 a.m. - Sisterhood Shabbat
• Sunday, January 25 @ 9:45 a.m. - Please join Jen Sunshine for challah braiding. Cost is $18 a person (over 21, please!) RSVP: by email to Tara Goldstein or phone (301) 260-0377. Please come ready to braid and bake challah.  In addition, we will decorate challah covers with the theme "generation to generation."  Please bring a couple of family pictures to use on your challah cover.  Bagels and coffee will be served.

1. Start growing out your hair for “Haircuts for Love”—You will need at least 8”- Hair will be donated to Pantene Beautiful Lengths which makes wigs for women of all ages that have lost their hair due to cancer treatments.
2. Start buying pajamas and books to donate to the Pajama Program which donates pajamas and books to children in shelters and those who are waiting to be adopted.
3. Start saving shoes to be donated to Soles4Shoes, an organization that sends shoes to 400 countries
