- May 18-30 - The Goldman Gallery of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington will present it's Senior Adult Art Show for 2008. Gala opening reception from 2 - 4 PM on Sunday, May 18. B'nai Shalom Member, Miriam Rothchild will have a painting in this show! Some of the art work, which includes paintings, sculpture, jewelry, etc. is simply fascinating and well worth the trip to the Center.
- Sunday, June 1st - Israel at 60! Our community will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Israel at a festival on The National Mall! We will enjoy an afternoon that will showcase the accomplishments of Israel, and will feature Israeli music, arts, culture, history, society, food, and much more. This will be the largest celebration of Israel in Washington’s history and we want tens of thousands of people from all across our community to come to the Mall that day. [More Info]
- Summer 2008 - The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and its local Taglit-Birthright Israel program have organized a special free 10-day trip to Israel for Summer, 2008, for young professionals and graduate students, ages 22 to 26, who live in the Washington, D.C. area.
