We want your artwork on the cover of the 2008 BSO Purim greeting card!  Please submit your Purim-themed artwork to the box at office desk by March 2nd, 2008.
Rules: Use an 8.5 x11 sheet of paper, oriented vertically
Guidelines (to be used at your discretion): Fill up the page; consider a border; color is great; and words are welcome (e.g. "Happy Purim" in any language).  We are hoping to select 3 drawings.... We need your submissions!

Books and Bagels Book Club for 4th-6th graders

The next Books and Bagels Book Club for 4th-6th graders will meet Sunday, March 9th at 9:30 am in the youth lounge. The book is Out of Many Waters by Jacqueline Dembar Greene. It got 5 stars on Amazon and came highly recommended. There is also a sequel. Please let me know if you child is coming by Monday, March 3, so I know how many bagels to get. Thank you! Our community will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Israel at a festival on The National Mall!  We will enjoy an afternoon that will showcase the accomplishments of Israel, and will feature Israeli music, arts, culture, history, society, food, and much more. This will be the largest celebration of Israel in Washington’s history and we want tens of thousands of people from all across our community to come to the Mall that day. [More Info]
