BRING ON THE LIGHT
As Hanukkah is quickly approaching, please consider super-charging your Hanukkah experience by visiting one of the Jewish Foundation for Group Homes during Hanukah. There are 21 homes in neighborhoods each with 4 to 6 adult residents with developmental disabilities. You are invited to contact Linda Yitzchak at lyitzchak@jfgh.org to arrange a Hanukah visit. You would truly be bringing light and joy into the homes by lighting candles, reciting the blessings, singing songs and playing dreidle with the JFGH residents. It promises to be one of your most enjoyable 5768 Hanukah memories.
RELIGIOUS SCHOOL
Please Note: There is an additional Junior Congregation on December 15th which was not on the original Calendar.
WORK THE REDSKINS CONCESSIONS AND EARN MONEY FOR B'NAI SHALOM
B'nai Shalom has committed to running the Kosher Concession Stands at all the Redskins Home Games. We are looking for volunteers to be team captains and others to volunteer as well. This is a full day commitment but in the end it is so worth it. For each team we need a minimum of 8-10 people per game (the 8-10 people consists of 1 stand manager, 1 assistant manager and 6 cashiers). Since we will be selling beer, kids under 18 cannot count in the total of people. Please respond to Beth Carchman (bcarchman@comcast.net) to set up a time for the game day managers to have a meeting and training. Anyone on your "team" can be the manager. Gather your closest friends or members of your Havurah to make a team.
HAVURAH
The Havurah committee is trying to form a new Havurah geared towards single members of all ages. A Havurah is a great way to meet new people and to form a close knit group within the ever expanding membership of B'nai Shalom of Olney. If you are interested in joining this Havurah please contact Sharon Agranov, Havurah Chair at (301) 260-9303 or sharonagranov@verizon.net.
