Rabbi Paul Arberman Congregation Yedid Nefesh Modiin, Israel Rabbi Arberman will be speaking on the Masorti (Conservative) Movement in Israel and his experiences having made Aliyah. Join us for this Shabbat as a part of “Link to Israel Month”, and find out more about the rewards and challenges of the daily life of Conservative Jews in Israel.

CANTORIAL CONCERT

• Remember to buy tickets for your friends and family to join us here on Sunday, November 18 at 5:30 pm for Kol Zimra, a concert featuring Hazzan Sara Geller along with our adult and kids’ choirs, and accompanying musicians. Enjoy Hazzan Geller’s interpretations of Yiddish, Hebrew, and Broadway songs. You’ll hear songs of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Judy Collins, Bob Dylan, and Carole King. FEDERAL HOLIDAY MINYAN

This Monday (11/12) morning at 9:00 AM there will be a minyan as it is a Federal Holiday - Veteran's Day.  We are scheduled to read from the Torah so it would be a shame not to have a minyan.

    On Sunday, there will be activities – Stories read by BSO’s very own Rachel Packer, games, and display of artwork created by our Religious School grades K-3.  Hours of operation:  Story Time 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm, Crafts 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm, Games 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm.

  • The Gimel – Grade 3 class needs additional room parents to assist w/ telephone calls and whatever special assistance a teacher may require.

WORK THE REDSKINS CONCESSIONS AND EARN MONEY FOR B'NAI SHALOM

B'nai Shalom has committed to running the Kosher Concession Stands at all the Redskins Home Games. We are looking for volunteers to be team captains and others to volunteer as well. This is a full day commitment but in the end it is so worth it. For each team we need a minimum of 8-10 people per game (the 8-10 people consists of 1 stand manager, 1 assistant manager and 6 cashiers). Since we will be selling beer, kids under 18 cannot count in the total of people. Please respond to Beth Carchman (bcarchman@comcast.net) to set up a time for the game day managers to have a meeting and training. Anyone on your "team" can be the manager. Gather your closest friends or members of your Havurah to make a team.
