FREE FILM FESTIVAL - Paradise now

Join us for a FREE Film on Sunday, April 29th at 7:00pm. Hany Abu-Assad's disturbing yet moving tale finds two men at a critical juncture in their lives. They've been drafted as suicide bombers in an upcoming assignment in Tel Aviv. Granted a night to spend with their families, they go home but are unable to say goodbye for fear of tipping their hand. But perhaps it isn't time for farewells yet as the two become separated during the mission and must decide on their own whether to continue or bail out.

  • Seaboard Region has organized a once-in-a-lifetime trip to New Orleans, so USYers can work with Habitat for Humanity to help build homes for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Many of our USYers are already signed up, and there is limited space on the trip. If you are interested, check out the attachments and call Mara in the youth office as soon as possible.   • This Friday, April 27, USY is having pizza and a movie in the youth lounge, followed by a USY-led Shabbat service! Come hang out and eat, relax, and watch a movie, then follow it up with a service led by your friends and even by you! If you are interested, email Mara at mara.bayewitz@bnaishalomofolney.org. It’s no fun without you!
  • May 20, USY is going Go-Karting! We will take some spins around the track, have some food, and have a blast! Look for a flyer in the next week.
• Kadima
  • We are still doing American Idol night every Tuesday, and tonight is no exception! The youth lounge will be open tonight from 8-9, and there will be soda and chips too! Why watch Idol at home when you can come to the youth lounge and watch it with friends? And chips?
• Machar
  • May 6 – 3rd graders in Machar are inviting 2nd graders in Bonim to come mini golfing from 10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.! Get a chance to see what Machar is really like, so you can get psyched for some great programs next year! Third graders, come out and play after Hebrew School and try for that Hole in One!!!   • Also on May 6, 4th and 5th graders in Machar are going to Shadowland Laser Tag Adventures for an evening of laser tag followed by a trip down the road for pizza at Pizza Hut! See attached flyer for details.
