KIDDUSH KONVERSATION

Join fellow congregants and Rabbi Matthew Simon for Shabbat Lunch and conversation on October 21st. We will discuss the upcoming decision to be made by the Conservative movement regarding whether or not gay men and women will be given ordination as rabbis. Will the Conservative Movement Ordain Gay Rabbinic Leaders?

RABBI SUNSHINE INSTALLATION WEEKEND PLANNING MEETING

The plans for Rabbi Sunshine's Installatin Weekend are well under way. You can still help during the planning stages or at the events. GET YOUR FLU SHOT AT BSO

Don’t forget to get your flu shot and make a donation to BSO all at the same time.  Sunday, November 5th from 9:00am-12:00pm.  You can sign up in advance by emailing adam.zeren@bnaishalomofolney.org.  It’s $30, and $10 of that goes to BSO.  Walk-ups will be accepted.   Marian and Harry Hinkes Scholar-in-Residence weekend

  During the weekend of November 3-5, B'nai Shalom is proud to welcome Scholar in Residence Rabbi Leonard Cahan , Rabbi Emeritus from Har Shalom and editor in chief of the new Sim Shalom. He will be discussing changes in the Sim Shalom. He will give a talk Friday night during services. Saturday after services will be a question and answer period (similar to a kiddush konversation) and Sunday morning, brunch after minyan sponsored by the men's club.

  NURSERY SCHOOL BOUTIQUE

  The B'nai Shalom of Olney Nursery School will hold its thirteenth Annual Fall Boutique and Silent Auction on Sunday, November 5, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.. This fabulous boutique will feature over 60 vendors with unique merchandise such as jewelry, toys, apparel, holiday gift ideas and home accessories. Also featured are: a silent auction, themed raffle baskets, and kid crafts. The event will take place at the Longwood Community Recreation Center located at 19300 Georgia Avenue in Brookeville, about one mile north of Route 108. For more information call 301-260-1406.
