Tisha B'av

Congregations B’nai Shalom of Olney and Shaare Tefila will join together in worship and study on Wednesday, August 2nd at 7:30pm Tisha B’Av – The Ninth of Av.
Congregation B’nai Shalom of Olney welcomes our new neighbors, Shaare Tefila to our Sanctuary as we commemorate the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem. The evening begins at 7:30pm and will include Minha, Ma’ariv and the Reading of the Megilat Eichah – The Book of Lamentations. Study and Worship lead by Rabbi Jonah Layman of Shaare Tefilla and Hazan Sarah Geller of B’nai Shalom of Olney

OLNEY NIGHT OUT

Come by the B'nai Shalom of Olney table during the Olney Night Out on Tuesday, August 1st, 5pm - 8:30 PM. The event is being held at the Olney Town Center Shopping Center (locations of Olney Cinema & BJ Pumpernickels) The evening is Sponsored by the Olney Chamber of commerce to support community, police, fire, etc. A night to get out & meet your neighbors. Dress comfortable!

Yizkor Book (Book of Rememberance) Orders

If you wish to place a memorial in our Book of Remembrance this year, please complete this form and enclose it, along with your check or credit card number, in an envelope marked “Yizkor.”  You can place your order in the “Yizkor Book” mailbox at the shul or mail it to B’nai Shalom of Olney, 18401 Burtfield Drive, Olney, MD 20832.  Please submit your order no later than August 22, 2006.  IN ORDER FOR YOUR MEMORIAL TO APPEAR, IT MUST BE PREPAID.   For questions contact Robin Rosenthal at (301) 774-5236.
