Darfur Rally (carpools from BSO to Metro meet at 12:00pm in parking lot)
B’nai Shalom of Olney is joining with the Conservative
Jewish Movement and hundreds of thousands of Jews from around the country
to stop speak up for a group of people that are the victims of an ongoing genocide!
We are participating in the Million Voices for Darfur postcard campaign and
attending the Save Darfur: Rally to Stop Genocide on April
30 in Washington,
DC.

The Save Darfur Coalition’s Million Voices for Darfur campaign is collecting
signatures to send to President Bush calling for greater protection for the
people of Darfur. Opponents of the genocide from across the country will join
together for the Save Darfur: Rally to Stop Genocide on April 30 in Washington,
DC. To send a Million Voices postcard and sign up to attend the rally, visit:

Religious School
- The next Junior Congregation service is Saturday,
April 29 from 9:30-11:30 in rooms 13, 14 and 15. There
will be Kids Konversation following Junior Congregation on April 22 at
11:45am. These are the final Junior Congregation services for this school
year. We encourage
you to attend
services in the main sanctuary after that.
- Grade 6 will be participating in a wimpel workshop on April
30 during regular
class time. Letters were mailed home this week explaining the workshop.

ISRAEL AFFAIRS
This coming Tuesday, May 2, BSO will commemorate the fallen
Israeli soldiers (Yom HaZikaron) and celebrate Israel's independence (Yom HaAtzmaut).
There will be additional prayers and thoughts to our regular evening minyan
plus some light Israeli food afterwards.
Israeli dancing
- Classes taught by our own Susie Fuchs; anyone 4th grade and
up is welcome.
All levels included, from beginning to advanced. Classes are at 8:00pm for
one hour --look for us either in the social hall or the lobby! Cost is $5.00/adult,
$3.00/student.
