Sunday, April 30th - B'nai Shalom of Olney Members to attend
Darfur Rally
B’nai Shalom of Olney is joining with the Conservative
Jewish Movement and hundreds of thousands of Jews from around the country
to stop speak up for a group of people that are the victims of an ongoing genocide!
We are participating in the Million Voices for Darfur postcard campaign and
attending the Save Darfur: Rally to Stop Genocide on April
30 in Washington,
DC.

The Save Darfur Coalition’s Million Voices for Darfur campaign is collecting
signatures to send to President Bush calling for greater protection for the
people of Darfur. Opponents of the genocide from across the country will join
together for the Save Darfur: Rally to Stop Genocide on April 30 in Washington,
DC. To send a Million Voices postcard and sign up to attend the rally, visit:

We will be organizing people from our congregation to attend the rally, so

information or want to get more involved in our outreach effort.
We Now Accept Credit Cards
Are you planning the long anticipated vacation?? Need frequent
Flyer miles??
We are now able to accept credit card payments for
all your Shul related needs--
dues, tuition, giant scrip, donations, contributions, and pledge anything we
offer..... We will be taking Visa and MasterCard. There will be a 2.5% administrative
charge. If you are interested in charging, please call Shelley Engel and provide
her with the following information-- Name, card number, expiration date and
security code on the back. PLEASE do not email or fax this information to the
office.
Religious School
- The next Junior Congregation services are Saturday,
April 22 and April 29 from 9:30-11:30 in rooms 13, 14 and 15. There
will be Kids Konversation following Junior Congregation on April 22 at
11:45am. These are the final Junior Congregation services for this school
year. We encourage
you to attend
services in the main sanctuary after that.
- There is no religious school from Sunday, April 9-April 19 due
to the Passover Holiday and Spring vacation. Religious School resumes on
Sunday, April 23.
- Grade 6 will be participating in a wimpel workshop on April
30 during regular
class time. Letters were mailed home this week explaining the workshop.
Youth Department
- USYers are invited to a Shabbat dinner at
the Mizrachi’s house on Friday, April 21st at 7pm. [More

- Machar is going rock climbing at Sportrock on April
23rd at 2:30pm. [More Info]
- Our Bonimers are going to see an incredible Karate
Demonstration by BSO’S
own Mark Malakoff on April 30th. [More Info]
- A Special Saturday night out that’s ONLY FOR OUR 8th
Graders is
coming up on April 29th. [More info]
- Our Seaboard Regional USY is meeting on Sunday,
April 30th at Adas Israel
to go to the Darfur Rally as a group. This is a great way for you and your

- Kadimah is taking over Dave and Busters on Sunday,
May 7 from 2:30-4:30pm [More Info]
- Come see who will become the next “American Idol.” The Youth
Lounge will be open from 7:45-9pm on Tuesday nights so you can watch “American
Idol” on the big screen.

Olam. One
is to make a difference in DC on Sunday, April

The other gets you a 9 days this summer in Mexico. This is your
chance to truly help those in this world who really need it. You DO NOT have
to
be a youth group member to take part in either program. Contact

Blood Drive

Israeli dancing
- Classes taught by our own Susie Fuchs; anyone 4th grade and
up is welcome.
All levels included, from beginning to advanced. Classes are at 8:00pm for
one hour --look for us either in the social hall or the lobby! Cost is $5.00/adult,
$3.00/student.
