Weekly Highlights & Schedule of Services

  • Friday Evening Shabbat Service - 7:30am
  • Saturday Morning Service - 9:00am, we will celebrate the B'nai Mitzvah of Raya Bichefsky and Benjamin Stutsky, Mazel Tov!
  • Saturday Junior Congregation - 9:30am, Rooms 13-15 followed by Kids Konversation at 11:45am.
  • Saturday Evening Mincha, Ma'ariv Havdallah Service - 5:40pm, we will celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of Jonathan Barth
  • Sunday, Minyan at 8:45am
  • Evening Minyan, Monday-Thursday 7:30 p.m. in the Shuman Family Chapel
  • Monday, October 18th - Nursery School Back to School Night 8:00pm

 

Religious School

Junior Congregation will meet Saturday, October 16 from 9:30-11:30 in rooms 13, 14 and 15. It will be followed by Kids Konversation at 11:45. Please remember to pull your attendance card upon arrival.

The next Junior Congregation is Saturday, October 23 from 9:30-11:30.

Joe Corbi Pizza and Cookie Order Forms are due on November 4th to the religious school office. Your orders will be picked up on November 14. All proceeds benefit the Religious and Nursery Schools. The students and staff appreciate your support.

Grade 5 will take part in their "Take Off for Israel" program on Sunday, October 24 during Hebrew School hours. A letter was sent home explaining the program and asking for parent assistance.

Our Rescued Torah Fund has reached approximately $6400.00. Todah Rabah to those of you who have contributed. If you would like to contribute, please send in your donation to the religious school office payable to B'nai Shalom of Olney and designate it for the Rescued Torah Fund.

Religious School is closed Sunday, October 31 due to the BJE Teacher Professional Day.

Nursery School

Monday, October 18th - Back to School Night 8:00PM
Wednesday, October 20th - No School

The B'nai Shalom of Olney Nursery School will hold its Eleventh Annual Fall Boutique and Silent Auction on Sunday, November 14, 2004, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This fabulous boutique will feature over 60 vendors with unique merchandise such as jewelry, toys, apparel, holiday gift ideas and home accessories. Also featured are a silent auction, themed raffle baskets and free gift wrapping. The event will take place at the Longwood Community Recreation Center located at 19300 Georgia Avenue in Brookeville, about one mile north of Route 108. For more information call 301-260-1406. Admission is free and open to all.

Men's Club

  • Men's Club is once again selling Entertainment books at the low price of $35. Please contact Larry Parizer at 301.570.3475.

Sisterhood
