Maccabi Games

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. The JCC Maccabi Games staff just wanted to say how happy we are that some of your synagogue members will be a part of the JCC of Greater Washington’s delegation.

The Games are still in need of volunteers and host families. And if your congregants are so inclined, please have them visit our website at www.jccgwmaccabi.org and follow the links, or go directly to the online registration page at www.jccreg.com.

Some synagogues have contacted us to place a congratulatory advertisement in our ad book, and so we are offering you the same opportunity. We are enclosing a list of your member-participants as of June 7 as well as the ad book reservation form. If you have any questions about ads, please contact Steve Carver at 301-881-0100, ext. 2777.

We have extended the deadline for congregations to respond to Weds., June 23.

Religious School

  • Religious school registration was due June 11th. If you have not sent in your registration please do so immediately as we are beginning to form our classes for next year. In order for us to process registration forms, all financial obligations to BSO through June 30th must be current. If you have sent in your registration and are not current, we are waiting to process your registration. If additional applications are needed for new siblings, please stop by the religious school office or call us at 301-774-9323 and we can send you one.

The Rescued Torah Fund has now reached $4700.00. If you would like to contribute, please send your donation marked Torah Rescue Fund to the Religious School office. Our goal is to raise $10,000.00.

Friday night and Saturday morning services are held throughout the summer. For those who have not met their 2003-2004 Junior Congregation requirement, this would be a good time to do so.
