- Our Shabbat
morning service will begin at 9:00 a.m. During the service
we will celebrate the Bat Mitzvah of Madeline Faunce. Mazel Tov!

Kiddush Konversation and Lunch following services. Join us for a gathering
of congregants enhancing the Shabbat experience with discussions
on hot topics. This week's topic is Jewish Medical Ethics,
discussion led by, Dr. Barry Talesnick

During the service we will celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of Max

Geller will lead our youngsters in a service that will leave

- Recent Sermons Online
- Religious School
- Grade 6 students
and parents will be participating in a wimpel workshop Sunday,
April 25, during regular class time.
- Grade 2 students
and parents will be participating in an Alef-Bet workshop on
Sunday, April 25, during regular class time.
- The last
two junior
congregations for the school year are May
1 and May 8 at 9:30
a.m. in Rooms 13, 14, and 15. They will be
followed
by Kids Konversation at 11:45.
- Grade 5 will
be participating in the "Experience Israel" field
trip on May 2. Permission slips were mailed
home and due back in the religious school office by April
25th. If you have not returned
your tear-off form, please do so immediately with the $10.00
fee so we can make sure we have enough drivers. If you can
help us
out and drive/chaperone our students, that would be greatly
appreciated.
- Grade 4 will have
their Bet class "Weddings" on Sunday,
May 2. Information letters were sent home
and a tear-off form is due back in the religious school
office April 25.
- Grade 3 will have
their Haggigat Siddur Service on Friday, May 7. An information
letter was sent home with a tear-off
form and
$30.00 fee for their siddur due back to the religious
school office by April 30th. An additional $5.00 is due if
you
want to purchase
a "book sock "cover for your siddur. Your siddur
must be covered as it will be used throughout your Hebrew
School years
on a regular basis. If you want to make your own cover,
we have instructions in the religious school office if
you need them.
- Confirmation
for 10th grade is Friday, May 14th.
- The last
day of
Religious School is May 18th for Tuesday students and May
19th for Wednesday students.
- Registration packets for next year will be mailed
next week.

- Washington Jewish Healing
Network
- LIVING WITH
ILLNESS? Please join our spiritual support, five
Mondays,
starting April 26th from 12:15 to 1:30 in Northwest Washington. The group will be
led by Rabbi Bob Saks and Dr. Carol Hausman of the Washington
Jewish Healing
Network. We will explore theological, spiritual, psychological
and personal
issues related to illness through the study of ancient and modern
texts. We
will look at the relevance of the texts to the participants'
own experiences.
This group is for people who are ill and/or their caregivers.
A voluntary
contribution of $65 (more or less) is requested. Call Dr. Hausman
at 202-966-7851
