Weekly Highlights & Schedule of Services

    • Kaballat Shabbat services begin at 7:30PM
    • Our Shabbat morning service begins at 9:00AM. We will celebrate the B'nai Mitzvah of Eric Friedman and Adam Ginsburg, Mazel Tov!
    • Gan Shabbat for our preschoolers through Kindergarten will be held at 10:45am on Shabbat Morning.
    • Junior Congregation and Kids Konversation will begin at 9:30AM.
    • Sunday Morning Minyan will begin at 8:45 AM. The Seventh Graders will lead this minyan.

     

  • Mitzvah Day
    If you have signed up for an activity, just a reminder that it is THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 18TH! Blood drive, April 25th.

  • B'nai Mitzvah Projects

      • 3:00pm - Dedication Ceremony
      • 3:00pm - Magic Show for 5-8 year olds
      • Babysitting Available

  • Hurry, Time is Running Out!
    • Submit your favorite recipe to Sisterhood's L'Dor V'Dor Cookbook. It's easy, just fill out the form online! www.bnaishalomofolney.org

  • Religious School
    • Junior Congregation Service is Saturday, April 17 at 9:30 in Room 13, 14, and 15. They will be followed by Kids Konversation at 11:45.
    • Grade 7 Class Service is Sunday, April 18th. at 8:45 am. This service will be a Tallit and Tefillin service and commemorate Yom Hashoah.
    • Grade 6 will participate in the Torah Wimpel workshop during regular Religious School hours on Sunday, April 25. A tear-off was mailed home and is due back to the religious school office by April 14.
    • Grade 2 students and their families will participate in an Alef-Bet workshop on Sunday, April 25th during regular class time. A letter was mailed home to families with a tear-off due back to the religious school office on April 18th.

  • Youth Programs - All events are FREE to Youth Group Members
  • Washington Jewish Healing Network
    • LIVING WITH ILLNESS? Please join our spiritual support, five Mondays,
      starting April 26th from 12:15 to 1:30 in Northwest Washington. The group will be led by Rabbi Bob Saks and Dr. Carol Hausman of the Washington Jewish Healing Network. We will explore theological, spiritual, psychological and personal issues related to illness through the study of ancient and modern texts. We will look at the relevance of the texts to the participants' own experiences. This group is for people who are ill and/or their caregivers. A voluntary contribution of $65 (more or less) is requested. Call Dr. Hausman at 202-966-7851 for more information
