  • Weekly Highlights & Schedule of Services
    • We will have a very special Musical Kabbalat Shabbat on Friday Evening 3/26. Featuring the Kids, Teen and Adult Choirs accompanied by several congregants on instruments. This was a wonderful service earlier in the year, if you missed it, make sure you come this Shabbat.
    • Our Shabbat morning service begins at 9:00AM. We will celebrate with the family of Ally Turkheimer as she becomes a Bat Mitzvah. Mazel Tov!
    • Our Shabbat Minha service will begin at 5:40 PM. Morgan Cali will be called to the Torah as she becomes a Bat Mitzvah. Mazel Tov!
    • Kiddush Konversation sponsored by our Adult Education Committee will be held after Shabbat Morning Services. The discussion will focus on the book "From Time Immemorial" led by Earl Kudlick. Enjoy lunch and the company of your fellow congregants.
    • Sunday Morning Minyan will begin at 8:30am to kick off Passover University.
    • Monday-Thursday Minyan at 7:30pm

  • BSO's Art Auction is coming on April 3rd. This was rescheduled from the snow cancellation earlier in the winter. We hope you will be able to join us for an evening of food, friends and fabulous art. Read more about it.

  • Musical Kabbat Shabbat Service
    If you missed the last one, make sure you are at BSO on Friday, March 26th for a beautiful, participatory musical Kabbalat Shabbat. Cantor Geller leads the Kids, Teens and Adult Choirs accompanied by several congregants. You will begin your Shabbat with a wonderful feeling of Ruach in your Heart.

  • Mitzvah Day
    It is REALLY easy to sign up for Mitzvah Day, April 18th
    . It's as easy as...

      2. Fill out the online volunteer form for you and/or your family
      3. Perform an act of Chesed!

  • Religious School
    • Passover University is Sunday, March 28th. The schedule is as follows:
      • 8:30-9:30 Minyan/Opening -Sanctuary
      • 9:30-10:25 Registration/Continental Breakfast
      • 10:30-11:25 Session 1
      • 11:35-12:30 Session 2

        There are still a few openings left in a few classes. If you would like to register for a class, please check the Passover University Catalog at
        www.bnaishalomofolney.org/flyers/registration_pu.pdf or call the Religious School Office at 301-774-9323

    • The next Junior Congregation Service is Saturday, April 17 at 9:30 in Room 13, 14, and 15. They will be followed by Kids Konversation at 11:45.
    • Joe Corbi Pizza and Cookie Sale orders are due into the RS Office by April 3rd. If you are going away for Spring Break, please make sure you mail your order in, or drop it off to BSO prior to leaving. Additional order forms are available in the Religious School office.
    • Grade 7 Class Service is Sunday, April 18th. at 8:45 am. This service will be a Tallit and Tefillin service and commemorate Yom Hashoah. There will be a rehearsal for all 7th graders on Wednesday, April 14th, (our first day back from vacation) during regular class hours. Tuesday students are required to attend this rehearsal.
      A letter with a tear-off was sent home and should be returned to the religious school office by April 3.
    • Spring Break is April 4- April 13th. Religious School will be closed. Religious School resumes on April 14th. Happy Passover and a wonderful Spring Break to everyone!
