Highlights & Schedule of
Services
- Our Friday night Shabbat Family/Birthday/Anniversary
service will begin at 7:30 PM.
- Our Shabbat morning service led by the
Grade Five will begin at 9:00 AM.
- Our Shabbat Minha service will begin at
12:30 PM.
- Our Family Purim service and celebration
will begin at 7:30 PM. The full Megillah will be read beginning
at approximately 8:45 PM.
- Our service on Sunday-Purim morning, March
7 will begin at 8:45 AM. The full Megillah will be read beginning
at approximately 9:30 AM.
- Monday-Thursday Minyan at 7:30pm

- PURIM IS HERE!!!
Don't miss any of the fun events this weekend as the B'nai Shalom
Family celebrates Purim in Olney. Festivities begin on Saturday
evening, March 6th at 7:30pm at our Family
Purim Service where EVERYONE gets
dressed up in costume to enjoy the evening. The Full
Megillah reading
will occur at 8:45pm.
Our service on Sunday-Purim morning, March
7 will begin at 8:45 AM. The full
Megillah will be read beginning
at approximately 9:30 AM.
The day continues with our famous Purim Carnival
from 12:00-2:30pm at Rosa Parks Middle School.
- NEEDED:
Your
B'nai Shalom of Olney Memories in Photos. If you
have any photos related to activities at BSO over the years, we'd
like to
use copies of them for a special presentation during the Dedication

- Choir Rehearsal Schedule:
Teen Choir: March 2, 16, 30
Adult Choir: March 9, March 16, and Thursday, March 25.
New singers still welcome!
- Religious School
- Come one, Come all to BSO's
Purim Carnival, March 7 at Rosa Parks Middle School from 12-2:30
pm.
- Grades K-3 will have school that morning from 9:30-11:30 and then go to
the carnival.
- Grades 4-7 will not have school, but will attent the carnival with their
families.
- Tickets are 2/$1.00 at the door
- Grade 5 will be leading the congregation
in Shabbat morning services on Saturday, March 6 at 9:00 am.
- The next Junior
Congregation Services are Saturday,
March 13 and Saturday, March 20 at 9:30 in Room
13, 14, and 15. They will be followed by Kids Konversation
at 11:45.
- Sunday, March 14, the Kindergarten class will be participating
in a Shabbat workshop with Mrs. Epstein and Mrs. Skolnik
during regular class time.
- Friday, March 19, Grade
2 will be participating in Friday
night services at 7:30 p.m. A letter was sent home a
few days ago and
the RSVP tear-off is due in the Religious School office
on March 15th.
- Sunday , March 21, the Aleph classes will be going to
the Matzah Factory. A letter was sent home a few days
ago with
a RSVP tear-off
due to the Religious School office on March 17th.
- Joe Corbi Pizza and Cookie Sale information was sent home and
placed in the synagogue newsletter. This is a major fundraiser
for the Religious School and Nursery School. All orders must
be turned into the religious school by April 8th. Additional
order forms are available in the Religious School office.
- Jewish National Fund Tree Certificates are due by March
14th to the Religious School office.
- Passover University
Passover University Catalogs were sent home with the students on February
29th. Grades K-2 are required to attend at least one session with
a parent (or another adult relative). Grades 3-7 are required to
attend both sessions with at least one parent (or another adult relative).
The schedule for the day is as follows:
8:30-9:30 MINYAN/OPENING
9:30-10:25 REGISTRATION/CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST
10:30-11:25 FIRST SESSION
11:35-12:30 SECOND SESSION
Registration forms are due in the Religious School Office by March
11th. If you would like a catalog, they are available online.

will be filled on a first come first served basis. If you have any

- Youth Programs - All events are FREE

- Dor Chadash Presents
Yaron Peleg, PhD,
Co-ordinator of the Hebrew Language Program at The George Washington
University
Professor Peleg will be doing a presentation on Tuesday,
March 23rd at 8:00pm, on the current conflict with Palestinians as seen
through modern Israeli
cinema.
It is free
and open to anyone who wishes to attend.
