- Weekly Highlights & Schedule of Services
- The Hazak (55 and Better) Group will be
hosting Friday Evening Shabbat Services at 7:30PM
- Our service on Shabbat morning, will begin
at 9:00 AM.
- Junior Congregation will begin on Shabbat
morning at 9:30 AM and will be followed with Kids Kiddush Konversation
11:45-12:45PM
- Mincha service will be held at 5:00PM
- Grade 4 Mincha/Ma'ariv/Havdallah Service will be on Saturday
evening, 5:00-7:00PM
- Our minyan service on Sunday morning, January11th
will begin at 8:45 AM.
- Monday-Thursday Minyan at 7:30pm
- Men's Club is competing Sunday,

- Men's Club
- The Men's Club is competing this Sunday
(Jan. 11) in It's Academic
at Kehilat Shalom. One of the members of our team is unable to
make it this Sunday. If anyone has a good knowledge of Judaism
(the Torah) and is free to compete this Sunday please call Larry
Parizer today at 202-942-1185 (work) or at home at 301-570-3475.
The team will be meeting at the synagogue at 8:30 am to go to Kehilat
Shalom for the competition. We should be back at BSO between 12:30
and 1:00 pm.
- The Men’s Club of Congregation B’nai
Shalom is pleased to honor Larry Parizer as
its Year 2004 Blue Yarmulke Man-of-the-Year
at the Seaboard Region Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs Blue
Yarmulke Men-of-the-Year Dinner 6:30 pm, Sunday, January
18, 2004 Congregation Ohr Kodesh.

Club World Wide Wrap is coming up on Feb. 1st

- There are 3 Junior Congregations/kids
konversations this month. They are January 10th, 24th and
31st.
Junior Congregation is at 9:30 followed by Kids Konversation at
11:45
in Rooms 13, 14, and 15. These are good opportunities to help meet
your junior congregation requirement.
- The Bet Class (Grade
4) Havdalah service is Saturday,
January 10th at 5:00 pm.
- The Dalet Class
(Grade 6) is going to the Montgomery County Fairgrounds this
Sunday for the "Immigrant
in Each of Us" program. All
Dalet students and drivers must be at school ready to go at 10:00 am.
- Religious School is closed on Sunday, January
18th due to Martin Luther King Weekend. Religious School is closed
on Sunday, February 15th due to President's
Day Weekend.
- The Dalet Class (Grade 6) Shabbat morning service is Saturday,
February 7.
- The Generations Fair for Grade 6 students is Sunday,
February 29.
All 6th grade students received a packet in the mail explaining the
project
and program and have a form that was to be returned to the religious
school office by January 7th. Please return your form immediately
and do not wait until the last minute to complete your project.

Come dance in the New Year with us at BSO with three consecutive
beginner-friendly Israeli Dancing sessions starting Sunday, Jan.
25 through
Feb. 8, from 2:00-3:00 pm.
The classes will be taught by our own dynamic (and patient) Susie
Fuchs.
Students are encouraged to bring a dairy lunch.

- Parking Lot Resurfacing
Resurfacing of the entire parking lot has begun and weather permitting, we hope
it will be finished by mid-January. Updates can be found on BSO's
website. We thank everyone for their cooperation during this project and
apologize for the inconvenience.
